I had to get registered 'lease deed' with the registration department located in sector 32 NOIDA. I had a very disgusting experience of corruption in this office. For getting registered your document they have devised a bribe-friendly system. The work is divided into 3-4 steps handled by different persons. A peon will move documents from one step to the next. First the documents need to be handed over to a person who will check them and tell you how much registration fees needs to be paid. You pay the registration charges, for which receipt is not issued immediately, and also pay extra money demanded to ensure that the docs move to next step. These docs move to person sitting on computer who gets your thumb impression and photos. He again demands money so as to move docs to the next step or else he will keep the docs with him and delay their onward movement. And till now they have not issued any receipt of docs or payment so you do not have any proof with you. So to get the receipt you have to pay bribe to the computer guy. Peon will take the docs to another person who will get your thumb impressions against your signature on the docs. After getting thumb impressions he will demand money so that he can move the docs to next peron. Once you pay docs will move to the person who puts seal on the backpage of all sheets of documents. After doing his job he has to handover your copy to you. But he will handover only if you pay him money else he will keep docs with him only on some pretext. Then the copy of deed meant for NOIDA authority is to be collected from this office later on by you and submit to authority. TO ensure processing of this part I had to pay RS 300/-. After paying this only I was told that I can come and collect it after 3 working days. Then before you leave the peon who was moving around your papers will come and ask for money as he was the person who was taking you from person to person and keeping track of your docs and coordinating with other persons. In nutshell You spend bribe money , waste your valuable time, and undergo anxiety as no receipt issued in time for docs and money and come back exahusted, sullied, disgusted : thanks to MY UTTERLY CORRUPT GREAT INDIAN GOVERNMENT SYSTEMS AND PROCEDURES.
