Khata Transfer bribe at Horamavu BBMP office

I was asked to pay a bribe of Rs 7000 to get a Khata for my property at the Horamavu BBMP office in Bangalore. The official charge of the Khata transfer was Rs 4000, I was asked to pay an additional bribe of Rs 7000.
I gave the bribe as I wanted the Khata quickly and did not want to make trips repeated to the BBMP office which was more than 20km away. I had all the proper papers.
