As I'm a Govt employee so i got my passport very soon and that too before police verification. After getting my passport, after 1 week or s, i got a call from police station to get the verification done. the policeman checked my paper and tried to find out any kinda discrepance so that he could fetch some money from me. but he could not as my papers and documents were in order and i had already got y passport. but in order to forward my docs he demanded bribe and said "kitni fees laaye ho mere liye". I was reluctant to give nay bribe so i pretended like i didnt understand what he said. so he finally said to me "jyada hoshiyaar banne ki zaroorat nahi hai. 500 rupye do varna tumhara passport zabt karwa doonga".listening to this, i became bit nerveous and finally i ended up in paying 500 bucks to that policeman.and they dont even feel embarassed as they demand bribe in presence of other citizens.I really hated my self and police deptt as a whole that day.but with time i adjusted with that as i ahve understood that in India without paying bribe your life may turn miserable.
