LPG Go-down

Reported on June 15, 2011 from Mangalore , Karnataka  ι Report #7912

Those who are aiming to own a petrol bunk or gas agency has to undergo mental harrasment for a longer period. The selection process is very transparent and there is no complaint thereof. After the selection, one has to bribe to many departments which may run to lakhs of rupees.
I had to purchase agricultural land for the construction of go-down since my budget was moderate. It started off with the initial approval from Petroleum and safety organistion [PESO], Chennai. I didn't knew anyone in the department and there were no middle men to approach. Just took a visitor's slip and waited from 11 AM to 5 PM. My turn never came also no one bothered. During my second attempt I voluntarily stepped inside the officer's room and enquired regarding the process. He said the land purchased is not viable for LPG go-down. He let me down completely even me being me a civil engineer. There was no proper justification made. However, he guided me to get the licence if i paid him bribe. "I PAID BRIBE".Next was the conversion process of land to make it commercial. "I PAID BRIBE". Urban development authority did not issue a NOC citing various reasons."I PAID BRIBE" Police and Fire department issued a NOC but delayed the whole process. "I PAID BRIBE".Taluk Panchayath and village panchayath authorities issued a NOC "I PAID BRIBE".This struggle took 12 months. Now I have to take Trade Licence but " I WILL NOT PAY BRIBE". Let us unite. "Enough is *******
