When i planned to start up a small food joint, i approached mangalore municipal corporation for trade license. I was told the actual fee is 1800 rupees. When i forwarded the application, i was told to pay additional 1000 rupees as bribe. Wen am ready to pay, i was told to pay additional 1500, as i didnt attach a building plan along with my application. The bribe was asked by mr.bharath, license officer in municipal corporation.
