Mumbai RTO = The **********on Earth
I had recently moved to Mumbai and was to pay my road tax for the car. However, I was challaned before I could do so and went to the RTO to get the amount deposited. They took 2 days to let me knwo the final ammount to be paid. On completing the documentation, one of the persons there told me to get this work done through agents who were seen loitering in the corridors. I refused. I was immediately told that my paperwork is incomplete and to come 3 days later. During this entire time, I was unable to drive my car on fear of it being impounded. 3 days later, I visited again and was again told that going through the agent would be faster. With all hopes going down the drain of doing things the lawful way, I met an agent introduced by the person at the desk. Sum chareged by the agent was Rs.6000! And for what! The papaerwork submitted earlier was then deemed as complete! Shame on Mumbai RTO, Shame on Maharashtra Government! Thats all I have to say..
