I am writing this on behalf of my mother. Me and my brother are in abroad, my father expired and she is alone at our village, so we thought of taking our mother with us. we applied for passport when we were in india, She is illitrate, during police verification, she was told to visit our village police station for verification. she went and waited for 2hrs, then one writer came and listend all the story after that he asked money. he said if not paid it will not be done.
I heared lot more stories on money for police for passport verification, but they just took advantage of her innocense and took 700 Rs. I felt sorry for it.
