We paid Rs 25,000 to the Cantonment Office in Pune, an office under the management & authority of the Indian Armed Forces, to get the name changed on the death of a parent to myself and my siblings. And even after paying the bribe (ostensibly because some minor modifications done by a tenant to the bldg without permission from the authorities) it took ONE YEAR to get all the paper work done.
It is amazing that such outright shameless open demand for bribery goes on in an office under the supervision and authority of the Indian Armed Forces; SHAME on the Officers of the Armed Forces.
As we have seen from the news media they are just as big scum bags as the politicians.
