I was crossing the Delhi - UP border from gazipur crossing.suddenly the UP policeman at the border stopped my car. I was with my family. he asked for my papers and unfortunately my pollution check certificate had expired. He immediately started demanding Rs.5000 and started using filthy language. he created unnecessary ruckus as if he was the only one who cared about the environment. Please note that my car is a petrol car and just 1.1 year old.then he came down to Rs.2000. He had already confiscated the original registration paper of the car. he asked me to come to the court of ghaziabad. he categorically said *JAB CHAR CHAKKAR LAGENGE COURT KE TOH PATA CHALEGA*. i felt like goons are roaming around in UP and they trying to extort money by unnecessary means. To avoid any altercations i just paid INR 500 and moved on. but this entire episode made me feel why i paid the bribe. the system to pay the fine is so complex and he so anti-citizen that normally a citizen thinks of not getting involved in that process. that is where these GOONS in police dress take advantage and tease the citizen.
