No Progress even after Bribe

I was expecting a verification call from police, but it never came. One day thought of going station myself to check the status, I was shocked to see my papers had been there from long time. Authority told to get the docs to verify and fill some form. After that he asked 300/-, Which I handed over without any bargain :). But when I did not receive my passport and saw my online status was not at all changing, called back authority cell number. Floor below by legs slipped, when he told "haan haan mae aapko hee call karne wala tha...aapko fhir se aana padega 5-10 min keliye ...saab milna chahate hain"... This was after 4-5 weeks after the initial verification.
