I had to visit the General Hospital in Yelahanka to get a fitness document for my driving license renewal. The ********** at the entrance told me it would cost Rs 100 and I said fine if there is a receipt and he positively replied that there was no receipt. He sent me to a Dr ********** (ENT?) in room 5 who did a cursory stethoscope check before filling signing the document. He asked for the Rs 100 which he quickly slid under his drawer. It would seem that the Government Hospital does not have a procedure for accounting for these transactions.
