Not aware untill I signed the documents that a part of the money is not the actual registration fee but a bribe.

As I have always believed in standing on my own feet. I thought it was time for me to transfer the property that was brought under my name back to my dad. So my dad took care of making all the arrangements. As the lawyer came and spoke to offcials, all we did was to sign and pay an amount to the lawyer. When I aked my dad as to how it functions so smoothly, he says, the lawyer charges an amount that is inclusive of the bribes that get distributed right from the peon to the lcerk to the highest offical. I had already signed the documents and hence part of the crime where I have encouraged corruption. I know I shouldn't be terming myslef helpless when I haven't made any efforts to stop it or look out for alternatives in case I have to do another transfer in the future. Do help.
