I am writing this story On Behalf of a 85 year old lady looking forward for her "Old Age Pension":
There appears to be a big racket behind harassing the beneficiaries of "Old Age Pension".
Strong nexus between Local-Area-Agent AND Staff in Tahsildar's office AND Post-Man AND Treasury Office
Corruption starts at the application stage:
This is what happened/happening in Shastrynagar Area Pin Code - 560028
1. Agents enters the scene and gives application form and demands Rs.1000/-. After the amount is paid, all the application formalities are completed. The agent says, this money is paid to many officials in the department including the one visits for verification. The Verifying officer is conniving with the agent and sits in the agent's home/office and demands that every applicant come there.
2. After few months, by luck, if the application is approved. Then starts the next step of corruption. The agent is also conniving with the area post-man and makes sure that the money is not given to the beneficiary until another Rs.1000/- is shelved out.
3. Post-man also demands his cut of 5% (Rs.20/-) out of Rs.400/- monthly pension.
4. Then next phase of harassment starts. The post-man starts demanding "Order Copy". This "Order Copy" somehow does not reach the applicant in the first place. Then, the applicant has to frantically go to "Tehsildar's office". Over here, he is made to shuttle between this office and "Treasury Office" to get the SR Number. I paid a bribe of Rs.100/- on 9th Sept 2011 in "Treasury Office" to get the SR number.
5. Now I am going to go to "Nemmadi" centre of "Bangalore South Tehsildar's office" on 12-Sep-2011 with the SR number. I am praying that they will give the "Order *******
