OPEN SECRET OF BRIBING IN BHUBANESWAR DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY

This is absolutely not the only report of bribing in BDA (Bhubaneswar Development Authority). For each step of Approval of Building Plan, everyone is/has paying bribe to different officials. Its starts with Amin, dealing assistant, Planning Assistant, Assistant Town Planner and Ultimately the PLANNING MEMBER. And surprisingly everyone has a rate for doing work for which they are again paid by the Govt. as salary. Our Anti-Corruption department, has no say, as it seems, they are also part to the system, otherwise any tom-dick-harry can tell the story of the office.
For every file the rates will be approximately as follows :
(For Building plan approval of G+2 Storied Residential Building)
File Deposite : Rs.500/-
Amin : Rs.3000/-
Dealing Assistant : Rs.1000/-
Planning Assistant : Rs.5000/-
Assistant Town Planner : Rs.10000/- - 20000/-
Planning Member : Rs.20000/-
Imagine the total turnover of the office, if we have 300 files per month that is being deposited for approval, then the total black money generated in the sole department amounts to 20 *******
