We had been to Kodaikanal on 13th of Septmeber. We went by a rented vehicle( Mahindra Xylo). Actually this cehicle has registered as a Taxi in Kerala but the number plate was White instead of Yellow. As we took this rental vehicle without driver we thought it was a Private vehicle by seeing the White board. So we didn't take any permit at the Tamilnadu border. The traffic police stopped our vehicle in a normal check up and found the problem. They were saying that they need to seize the vehicle and need to pay around Rs. 10000/- to the RTO to return the vehicle.
So we started the bargaining and atlast settled for 3000/-. They were happy after receiving the money and given a traffic violation receipt for The number plate is not correct.They have told that just show this receipt if any other police catch you and it's valid for 1 day.
