Some of the traffic signals on the road change without the orange sign(directly from green to stop). Even though I stopped my motorcycle when I noticed the signal change, the police officer took my key and threatened with a fine of 1600 rs(for signal violation, rash driving and an 'illegal number-plate'(even though the number is clearly visible)). As there were no traffic cameras, it was their word against mine. In the end he said 500rs fine and took the money and did not provide me with a receipt.I chose to pay 500 instead of 1600 for a crime I did not commit. I have not knowingly violated a single law in my life. And this is how the government thanks me.
If any single honest officer is seeing this post look for the Traffic police inspector( who conveniently folded up his pocket flap to hide his name badge) stationed at Madhya kailash signal on October 9th around 6 pm).
