Paid bribe 2000 rupees for a power of attorney
- Municipal Services
- Registration of Property
- Paid INR 2,000
This happened in the mallasamudram subregistration office. I typed the letter in the due format and went to the subregistrar. That shameless person identified some 100 faults in that letter and advised us to contact a typist who sits outside the subregistrar office and writes pattas. ********** be 10th edcated. He made us to wait for 3 hours and then said come back the next day. After repeated plea he then agreed to process. That is not a great thing at all.after that he went to the subregistrar and the process was eventually done. Then he demanded 2000 rs saying that it is 1300 for the subregistrar, 300 for him and 100 each for the clerks and peons in the office. My father ended up giving this because this is our registrar office and we do need to pay this or else if we come next time nothing will be done for us and we will be made to run from pillar to post. Then the typist was certifying his corruption by saying that every week he need to pay the local politicians few thousand rupees whether they are from the ruling or opposition party
What is the solution for this. i dont know. There is not even a single board outside saying not to pay bribe or how to complain if someone demands bribe or refuses to do a job expecting a bribe. This has to stop
