I don't remember the exact ********** of this above transaction, however It was in the year 2009.
Basically I had miss placed few documents and had to get them replaced from Govt. Hospital and as per requirement, I had to bring FIR for missing documents, based on which I would have been allotted fresh papers.
I was honest enough to tell the Havaldar writing the FIR, about missing of papers and that they were not lost. Looking at the opportunity of cashing some money by showing troubled way, I was asked to bring an affidavit that I have miss placed the documents, post which the FIR would be written. A request to the senior inspector did help out and I was allowed to file an FIR without any affidavit, however the havaldar after writing the complaint but before handing over the FIR copy in subtle manner did ask for the favour, a small amount of Rs. 50 for writing FIR. Which I had to pay. I don't know whether this can be put under bribe, for I could have alerted the senior inspector, however I chose the cowardly act of giving money and moving out of the place called police station, on hindsight I do feel I should / could have alerted the seniors. But was and still I am not sure that would there have been any after effects on me through that police station. I dont know whether I am victim or the culprit
