I had to pay a bribe along with a few of my friends for getting the khata transferred in Kenchanakuppe Gram Panchayat, Bidadi Hobli, Ramanagaram Taluk. (We had bought plots in Confident Regulus). They collect more than Rs.2000 as bribe for transferring khata for a 1200 sq.ft. plot. One of the applicants could not get the khata transferred even after paying the money for taxes and even the bribe, as his plot number was mentioned in some one else's khata already. We are told that its a mistake done by the clerks, but it would take more time and money! We do not know what to do as the list of tasks for getting it done without bribing seems to be long and confusing.
