I had to pay a bribe of Rs.500, inorder for the prompt registration of my marriage. I live abroad, and had just 1 week in coimbatore to get my marriage registered. To do this, I had to pay about Rs.1000 to a broker, who apparently pays half of it to the "officers & clerks" at the sub-registrar office.
