I paid bribe to a cop who is suppose to verify my address for passport. actually cop need to come down to your address and verify but his guy gave me a missed call. When i called, he asked me several question related to address. I was not interested to pay him, but he made it as if police verification will fail if i dont pay. He asked weird things like if i go to your place will i find you there? I said i work, so anytime other than working hours you will find me, but he said i can come anytime.
After that i said you do what you have to do and i left. Guess what, i got status update at passport office that address is not verified. I conveyed what happened to passport officer and they said we are central government employee and they are state government. So i filled the address verification form again and again got a call from police station. This time new guy but same story. Again i refused to pay and left. Again my address was not verified and passport office again refused by saying we cant help.
So finally third time i paid to the cop and got my passport verification done. So i tried not to pay bribe, but does things move without paying?????????????????? i got my passport in 8 months from the ********** i applied and wouldnt have got it if i would have refused at third verification...
