I was in urgent need to get the birth certificate coz i had to join an IT firm in september 2010.I was asked to pay money of around Rs.5000 and the Gram Sevak(the person who is responsible for registering the birth of a child) told me that I will have to pay the money if i want the Certificate...I was left with no other option.Finally he settled for Rs. 2500...When i finally got the certi, I was so relieved...while giving the certi the gram sevak told me that i m very lucky that i m getting the certi only for Rs 2500, people pay Rs. 10000 just for the same...
