Paid to Register the House I purchased.

I thought I would report this since it was annoying at the time. I had too pay Rs 12500 when I was registering a house I was buying. Since I was an NRI and had not experienced this before I guess it was also very shocking at the time. The broker and the people I was buying the house from asked me to keep about Rs 50k just in case. I think that this problem is only getting worse and after the former CM of Karnataka was acquitted of charges in the Mining scandal it seems that the State has taken about 20 steps back in its *******
