Paid Rs100 for jumping a red signal Near Ecity

I was driving with my family on my Car from Chennai. While nearing the traffic signal at e-city which was turning to ********** from green. by the time i passed by it was red and a traffic cop caught me for jumping the signal. I explained him that i crossed when it was ********** but he demanded all the vehicle documents. After checking everything he said ot pay Rs 500 but finally i negotiated and paid Rs 100. I really sorry but couldnt avoid this situation
