Im a student living away from my parents for studies in delhi so i thought it would be a good idea to apply for a passport since im here so i did all the paper work and submitted my application..
the passport ********** kendars are way too good, polite people(if u have the right documents), systematic really quick working.. BUT when it comes to police verification it seems like those ppl think they doing you a big favor by coming to your home and doing the verification.. When they came i was alone at home so i thought they wouldnt ask for bribe from a kid, but they were smart enough too they said get your father along when he comes we have to ********** him personally before we clear your file and i knew what they meant by that.. so my father and i went to the police station and that guy refused to********** my file until we paid him atleast a 1000 bucks, he settled for 700, and then the same story for verification at my permanent address (he asked 500 we gave him 300)
i wish something could be done but i feel so powerless :/
if you are waiting for your verification be prepared either to pay or have something else planed out in ur mind cz these chaps wouldnt let go untill you pay em something
