Well..my family members apllied for passport. The officer who came for verification had to be paid 'CHAI-PAANI' of Rs 500...though a cup of chai we wud hve offered happily for free and a glass of RO filtered water too..

So rate of passport verification is Rs 500/ ..what it in your area???

I have not applied for passport...AS I DO NOT WANT TO PAY A BRIBE....I SHALL SEE WHAT I CAN DO... AND REPORT BACK...
