I had applied for tatkal passport for my sister,passport came without much hassle but the hawaldar who came for verification asked for Rs. 500 ,when we refused,he just plainly told us that if you dont pay it now ,you will have to keep coming to police station and talk to 'bade sahab' ,even he will ask for it and if you dont give the money, your report will not be passed on.We had no option but to pay.
