We were building a new house and went with the honest way of applying for a temporary line for construction work rather than putting a hook in the supply line outside our house. But repeated applications went unanswered and each time a bribe was asked for.
After me and my brother moved out of the city join our jobs, my parents could hardly take the strain of visiting the office again and again. So, the last time I went home, i was forced pay bribe. this time i had to pay much more than what was quoted the first time as i had delayed the process. Finally we have a temp connection. But i know that a similar process awaits me when we apply for permanent connection once construction is complete.
