Ploy by Traffic Cops Stationed at Charminar to fleece money from Tourists

Similar incident happened to me at Charminar in Hyderabad.I asked a traffic cop that can I park the vehicle in front of traffic station at Charminar as I was new to the city & couldn't find a No Parking board,hence,just to be doubly sure I asked the traffic cop,he said,yes "You may go ahead and park the vehicle here." 5 minutes later he went away & another traffic cop approached & he asked me to pay "FINE" for parking my vehicle in No Parking Zone & he told me that fine is Rs.200/-.When I told him that another traffic cop told me to park here,he replied by saying that he doesn't know about this area as he is posted somewhere else,the traffic police station in front of Charminar is the nodal office of this area hence he had come here,actually his duty is not in this area !

Furthermore,he told that he is the officer-on-duty in this area,hence,I should either pay fine of Rs.200/- or bribe of Rs.100/- ! Was aghast & angry for what was happening to me.Since,I was a tourist & had come there for seeing Charminar,my experience was ruined by the whole incident.Hence,I haggled with the traffic cop & he agreed on Rs.50/-.Hence,I paid him a bribe of Rs.50/- & took my vehicle & parked it in a "Pay & Park" Area nearby.
Needless to say this was a ploy by Traffic Cops Stationed at Charminar to fleece money from Tourists who come to visit Charminar.

Nothing but Pure Scam ! I am sure other tourists must have faced a similar situation at Charminar as the entire area in front of Traffic Station is a "No-Parking Area" without a Sign-board which the cops use it to their advantage.
