We have applied for passports for my family including my self. Police came for verification and directly asked for bribe though every information provided. As usual since we didn't have passport since two years (expired) we had to pay to get the clearance. Also after I received the passport ECNR was missing and again I had to apply for that, the same police came for verification within 6 months and again took Rs 200 though I mentioned it was only for ECNR, he replied what is the gaurentee you didn't have criminal records since 6 months. This is how police are behaving. But I must say not all police definitely most are.
