Policemen took bribe for verification of passport

I entered the Mulund navghar police station for providing the details for verificatiion of my passport. The policemen mentioned that just thank you will not do to process my application. He mentioned I earn so much why cant I pay little for the processing of the passport. I was embarrassed and shocked how can a policemen ask for bribe in front of the people standing there at the office. I offered Rs. 100 to avoid any arguments and I was sure he will not process my application if I had a argument with him. After negotiating from Rs 100 he finally took Rs. 200 as a bribe and I left the police station.
