Poor communication by railways/IRCTC and bribe thereafter
I got an SMS at 4:36pm on March 9th from IRCTC that my waiting ticket from PNBE to NDLS in Magadh Express was confirmed and to my shock, after travelling 50kms from my village, when I reached the platform I came to know that the train itself was cancelled. Its strange that the IRCTC/railways didn't bother to inform the same to me beforehand.
In view of this crisis, I was left with no other option than to take a general ticket and board a sleeper bogie on Sampoorna Kranti Express. When the TTE came, I narrated the poor managment of railways to him. What he did was that he took me near to the gate (away from fellow passengers) and asked me for money as he could provide me a birth to sleep during the overnight journey. Since it would have been too tiring to travel without a proper seat and a birth, I obliged by paying him 230 extra than the fine/fee.
