- Transfer of Ration Card
- Paid INR 2,000
I recently shifted to Navi Mumbai from another state. I had complete transfer documents of Ration card which I had surrendered at my previous location. The transfer was completely legal & in order. However on approaching for transfer, with all documents including proof of address & Police verification, the office asked for various additional proofs including approval from my present landlord. On submitting the same, I was advised to cough up Rs 2000 by an agent to ensure that the Ration card is delivered positively. Having wasted over three months & also no of visits to office taking leave from my office, I wa sleft with no choice & had to pay the amount. The ration card was subsequently delivered in 15 days. There is a board located in office premises not to pay bribe to any agent & the agents freely roam inside the office hobnobbing with various staff in the office
