We wanted to register a flat (Ramky Towers) and were asked by the builder to pay Rs. 10,000 in cash to cover "expenses" at the registration office. On being asked that all the sanctions are in order as this project is with a government body (APHB), builder representative replied that nothing can be done without money and that they had to pay money to registrar and APHB employees.
