Recovery of seized property from crime scene

The police found 1 crore in cash from my uncle's place. He was murdered by an ********** manager who had befriended him. The investigating officer said unless he is paid 25% of the recovered amount, he will seize it and make it as income from unknown sources. My uncle's son had to pay 25 lakhs for the FIR to mention the 1 crore in cash. The cash was withdrawn from ********** legitimately.
