In Dec-2009, I received electricity bill of 25K. Shocked, I approach the electricity office in sector-12 noida and explained that with my 6Kw meter, even if I run at full-load for whole month, the bill cannot be more than 16k. And ofcourse, I didn't run full load (2 Ac's, 1 TV, 1 geyser) for 24 hours a day whole month.But they told me that unless I pay and settle, I will face disconnection. They were not even ready to instal a check-meter. After fighting a lot for 3 months, I had to finally given in because it's ofcourse not possible to keep fighting against these corrupt officials.
