Registration of a new Firm

Reported on October 25, 2010 from Mumbai , Maharashtra  ι Report #30181

Peon - Rs. 100 Person who checks all the documents before passing it to the Officer - Rs. 500 Officer who approves the sales tax registration of the firm - Rs. 1000 Then, finally, the person who hands out the TIN number in the print out - Rs. 150. These are standard rates followed at Sales tax department at Mazgaon in mumbai for sales tax registration of a new firm. The only person who did not ask me for money was person who does professional tax number. But i haven't got the number yet, so i suppose there is something fishy out there too.
