I went to renew my Driving License at the RTO office, Thane between the 'teen hath naka' and Cadbury. The lady at the inquiry counter was extremely helpful and helped me fill up the requisite form which I had to procure from the vendor outside. After the paperwork was done, she got up from her chair and setpped outside to show ehich 'windows' i must visit (in order) to process the renewal. She asked me to pay the fees at a particular counter. When I asked her how much these would be, she sadi Rs.285 for the counter and Rs.500 for her. Taken aback, I asked why I should pay her? She said of course for helping you. I said aren't you an employee of the RTO and is it not your job to guide people, she said she was not an employee - merely a renewal agent! So this renewal agent, sat behind the official enquiry counter, snaring people like me! I had to pay her Rs.50 because she wouldn't hand over the papers she hepled fill and which were now in her custody!!
