I have bought a plot from a reputed developer in Bangalore. The developer had asked for a Rs. 37500 for khata transfer and stuff after registration. This was well informed to me in the very beginning as a charge along with registration and transfer. On the day of registration the developer asked me to provide the drafts for registration and if possible to get the 37500 in cash. I had no issues and I took the money in cash.
After the registration the developer asked me to give him the money (cash) being skeptical as I am, I told the developer to take me to the panchayat office where the money is to be deposited. The developer then informed me that khata transfer will be done in nxt 10 days and has only got a cost of 800 associated with it. Of the money 36000 is to be given to the Sub Registrar Attibele. That was the reason for them to ask the money in cash.
Then he told me that they give the a monthly payout of 1.5 to 2 lakhs to the registrar and also per site she is paid around 18000 and this is common across all the developers in the anekal, jigani, Electronic City, Attibele region.
huff what money!!
I believe my going to IIT was a waste. Neither will I make an iota of the money these guys are making for signing the documents nor was I able to understand the modus of operation till after the registration was done. What a waste!!
