This story may sound ridiculous, but true! Had booked onward and return tickets to Shimoga from Bangalore on the IRCTC website.
23/11: Tatkal wait list 31 & 30. By the time time to board, WL 30 was confirmed to S5 43 and WL 31 was WL 1. TT: ********** ********** came on his rounds, checked the IRCTC SMS, checked the photocopy of my DL and moved on.
24/11: Tatkal confirmed tickets. S2 26 & 29. ********** **********, Head Ticket Examiner came on his rounds and did not eben bother to check the SMS ..asked for the ID proof. Showed him the photocopy and he demanded to see the Original, whcih I told him was not carrying. Between 10:30 and 12 midnight, ********** came 4 times waking me up and asking for the Original. When I iterated that I am NOT carrying the original and the same was accepted yesterday, then what was his problem. Incidentally, Rakeh ********** was in the same bogie and I was advised to bring him to **********. When I approached **********, he advised me to go slow with ********** and try and explain it out. ********** came by and said that I need to be penalized 1600/- ...800/- from yesterday and 800/- from today. ********** whispered to me to hand over "something", which in the time of the situation was the only thing that I could think and paid 200/- and went back to my berth.
