Designation of the officer - Branch Service Manager (on behalf of SBI Group)
Explanation: I approached the Branch service manager for just an SBI ECS submission form for my LIC policy. The officer though having my passbook, cheque book, me in front of her and my photograph showing in a/c details on her system, made me sign the form 10 times with idotic reasons saying there is no gap between alphabet in your sign, there is a minor difference in how an alphabet looks etc. and then magically agreed at 10th signature that it matches (it wasn't different) and said you'll pay 172/- Rs. charged to your account for signature verification - WHAT NONSENSE..!! My presumption is she did this on purpose coz my a/c did not belong to her branch and belonged to Sarjapura Road, Bengaluru branch instead. Day time robbery from SBI if this is the process, otherwise it's a scam!!
Beware people! I would think million times before approaching SBI for any financial banking needs in future though it might have the widest acceptance. If this is a process for all sector banks, THEN IT IS A HUGE SCAM and I'm sure nobody would care to take an action. Its not about the amount charged, it's about the intent.!! BAD INTENTIONS.
