I had to get a property registered in my name. To expedite the proceedings, the lawyer who we were going through coldly informed us that 14,000 rupees would have to paid as bribe or else the registration will take days. I was willing to wait, however my spouse was in a hurry to get dome with this and rather cajoled me into paying the bribe. I wanted to see the person's face who would take this bribe but I was informed that it doesn't go to one person. It is distributed at every level. I am disgusted with myself for stooping so low, ashamed of my spouse and so angry at the people who took bribe. Wish this movement reaches somewhere.
