Hi,
This was during my registering of land, I bought at Berhampur, Orissa.
The entire process of bribing here is very professional. The agent drafting the Sale Deed, is authorised by the Sub-Registrar and his office, to collect on their behalf. The proceeds from day are deposited by the agents with the Head Clerk of the office at day end. The Head Clerk cross-checks the amount deposited by the agent with the number of documents registered thru that particular drafting agent and then ratifies.
Subsequently, the amount is propotionately distributed, as per designation.
The entire process is very systematic and followed religiously.
