Takes 3 months to get Birth Certificate , but 2800 can get it to you in 4 days !

Needed a Birth Certificate, when I first went to the Municipal office they said it would take a week, but soon i realised no less than 3 months is required. So, I started the process, first in the Municipal office, then "Mandal" Revenue Office, and then to the District Revenue Office, then back to Municipal office. My first visit to Municipal office costed me 500/- in bribe to speed things up, so what must have been a month happened in 2 days, then 3 hours at MRO`s Office costed me 800/-, 6 hours wait for 15 minutes work at RDO`s Office costed me 1000/-, finally back to Municipal corporation and an additional 500/- there. What must have taken at least 3 months happened in 4 days but put a 2800/- hole in my pocket.
