I was born in Ambheti, TA:Palsana Dist: Surat in 1960s. I never had my name registered or birth certificate because my parents weren't that educated. I left India long time ago and never needed my birth certificate. Recently I needed it for some paperwork and this talali of village wouldn't do it. He kept telling my relatives to come next week. Due to the new strict rules of Bribery he could not ask for bribery so he didn't wanna do work. I had to file a formal court case in Surat district court and bribe every official in the court including judge, clerk, and more to get signatures to get my birth certificate. I spent total Rs 22,000. Just because the talati of Ambheti gaam could not ask for bribery he didn't do my work and I ended up paying way more. What a useless system.
