Ticket collectors robbing railways - Ticketing scam
I purchased a general ticket and went to book a berth from Raichur to cuddapah in Chennai bound Dadar express. There were 11 tickets together. Though we alighted the train in Raichur, the TTE booked tickets from Adoni and shamelessly in addition to that asked for Rs.50 per ticket. When I said I can't give him Rs.50 per ticket he then manipulated the ticket calculations and booked our tickets from Adoni which is atleast 100 KM away from Raichur.
This is not just one TTE on the train. Majority of the TTEs and Railway squad are working hand in glove scaming railways. They cutting the hands which feed them.Atleast Rs. 5k-10K crores are being robbed in tickets by TTEs.
There needs to more information to be available for passengers to escalate complaints and a mechanism for punishments.
If railway authorities don't wake-up atleast now, it will be too late to realize.
