Took the officer out for lunch and paid bribe.

I needed original copy the birth certificate, so I went to Municipality office at Mulund West. I met this officer, I forgot his name, he asked me to find out my name from hospital registar, and when I found it, he said he is doubtful if I was Son of my registered parents, as on the left side of the page my parants name was written and on the right side of page, my name was written on a lower row. So he got a chance to ask bribe for some mistake in the hospital registar. I showed him my passorrt, driving liscence to prove that I am the real son of my parents, but he did not budge, then he said that his boss is off on vacation so he will give it only after he comes back. So he wanted a bribe, I was really mad, but could not show my frustration to him, as I need my birth certificate for my luxembourg work permit. So I took him out for lunch. He ate his fill and also ordered a cold drink and tea. He was very greedy.
I was very sad and fell ill. Finally I asked my father to handle him and since he is old and experienced, he got the birth certificate for me by paying him bribe I dont know how much he paid.
Solution:
We should make the request of birth certificate process online.
And the copy should be sent directly to the home address of the individual.
