I live in Gurgaon and drive ops insist on your carrying the car RC book original. In our case where my son and daughter also drive the car sometimes, it is not always possible to handover the original. I therefore keep a photocopy in the car. The traffic cops regularly catch us and take anything ranging from 200/- to 400/- on each occaision.
It is a regular racket and can be seen under the IFFCO Chowk flyover on all days.
