Uber driver stopped my cab on the road

I was riding UBER Cab in New Delhi at 6:30 pm.
2 cops on road we’re stopping cars. Incl ours.
Driver got out for 2-4 minutes.
When he returned, he said he paid cop 200 Rs to continue the journey.
Driver he said he made a wrong u-turn, but rather than being issued a traffic ticket, he paid off the cop to carry on the journey.
