Verification officer asked for bribe

• Issue and Renewal of Passport
• Paid INR 3,500

The verification officer shamelessly asked for bribe and cited incidents of his earlier verifications by saying so and so had given him 10k for his passport delivery and verification. Even when we had all the required documents, he kept saying these documents aren't enough and gave us all baseless reasons how the passport will get rejected. I know these complaints will simply go in vain.
He was from Biddhannagar police department.
